Who we are
Roger and Le Morais, and one toy poodle.
Roger Morais
Portuguese-American web developer and systems administrator. He was a journalist in Lisbon, then built a career in tech in Dallas, including ten years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, where he finished as Senior Web Developer. He founded RogerLe.com, an independent web hosting company, in 1996 and still runs it.
Le Morais
Thirty-six years in human resources, two decades of them in SAP HR and payroll systems, with a focus on Latin America. She retired in 2019 from Southwest Airlines, where she was Senior HRIS.
Jolie
Our toy poodle. She travels Europe full time with us in the motorhome, and her site keeps a photo journal and an atlas of the countries she has visited.
Together we travel Europe full time by motorhome. Our trip routes are on travel.morais.co, and our motorhome site is rlmotorhome.com.
How it's built
Plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript, with no frameworks, no cookies and nothing loaded from outside companies. It runs on servers we manage ourselves, and visitor counts come from our own analytics server instead of an outside service.
We build and run our sites with the Awesome Crew, a team of named Claude AI instances. How that works is written up at awesome-crew.ai.
